Last night, I had to pleasure of attending a music concert. The venue was Tressler’s Barn in Easton, CT. Ireland native, John Hoban told stories and performed his own songs, as well as, other classics. Later in the evening, Dan Tressler and Jeff Smith performed....
Use shallow depth of field with wide open aperture. Shoot everything, including candid interaction in addition to the traditional posed shot. Shoot from a low position.
We used a lawnmower battery and dc/ac converter to power the lights. There is an iPhone in the tree to keep the subject’s attention. Photographed at Kindsey Family Farm.
Position yourself low. Use negative space by placing subject in lower part of frame. Use long lens with wide open aperture for shallow depth of field. This was shot at f2.0.
